The Challenge
The client came from the year 1996 and it intents to break into the market in the year 2022. The existing website needs to be refreshed to meet the current needs of the client.

Process

Research
Primary and Secondary Research

A Competitive analysis was done on direct and in-direct competitors. With the findings from the analysis, areas to be improved on the existing website informed the strategy.


Solution

1. Upgrade the site to a more modern look
Icons used to represent the product category in the secondary menu.


2. Items Cards
Card slot with order function of the items in the menu,
so that the user save time and customised the user needs in the search.


3. Search Bar
A search bar at the top to search for products that the user already know.


4. Navigation
Simplified the Information Architecture of the layout of the different pages name, to a top one direction style navigation. To visualise the search process as user search, labels category of uses interns of type of user group is introduced.


5. Taxonomoy
Simplified and rename the items on the navigation.


6. Product Photos
A proposed reshoot of products photos that more consistent.


7. Icon
Specially customised icons series Is introduced to represent the category of products that Compaq is offering.


8. Branding
Brand Logo is updated.
